RYSE / CATCH-UP BOOKKEEPING
Catch-up Bookkeeping
Bring unrecorded historical months into your books with a project scoped around the records and periods you need completed.
Request a consultationFor months that have not been recorded
If your business has been operating but bookkeeping has not started, or several months are missing, catch-up bookkeeping creates those historical records. It is distinct from correcting entries already in your file.
What the project covers
The agreed catch-up project covers recording and categorizing historical transactions and reconciling the agreed bank and credit card accounts for the selected periods. We confirm document requirements and the months and accounts included before starting.
Corrections to existing records are cleanup work. Current monthly bookkeeping, system conversions, tax returns, payroll processing and filing, and work outside the agreed historical scope are separately quoted.
Pricing based on your requirements
Custom project quotes reflect the months, transaction volume, account count, complexity, and available records. We agree on scope and a fixed quote before work begins. Payment arrangements are confirmed in your project agreement.
From missing months to organized records
- Leave your name and email so we can learn which periods are missing.
- We review your accounts and record availability, using the secure portal for documents.
- We agree on the periods, work, and project price.
- We record and reconcile the agreed months, requesting missing information as needed.
- We review completion against the project scope and discuss ongoing bookkeeping if needed.
What you receive at completion
Once the agreed catch-up work is complete, your QuickBooks records will be updated for the historical periods included in your project. You’ll receive a Profit & Loss report covering those periods, a Balance Sheet as of the agreed ending date.
What determines the timeline?
Your timeline depends on the number of months involved, transaction volume, number of accounts, bookkeeping complexity, and availability of complete records. We confirm an estimated timeline after reviewing your requirements. Missing statements or unanswered transaction questions may affect completion.
What we may request to get started
- Bank and credit card statements for the periods being completed.
- Access to your existing QuickBooks file, if applicable.
- Previous financial statements or bookkeeping records, if available.
- Supporting records such as receipts, invoices, payroll reports, loan statements, or payment-processor reports, depending on your business.
We’ll provide a tailored checklist and instructions for sharing documents securely through our client portal. Please don’t send financial records through the public contact form.
A few things to know.
Do you charge a cleanup fee if nothing has been entered?
Unrecorded historical months are treated as catch-up bookkeeping. Cleanup applies to corrections of existing records.
Is the project price the monthly fee multiplied by the number of months?
The project is quoted based on the actual requirements. Months, volume, accounts, and complexity all affect the quote.
Can I continue with monthly bookkeeping afterward?
Yes. We can separately agree on an ongoing package once the historical project requirements are understood.
